Adam Lohrey, Jr., age 88, of Brookville, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2015 at Brookville Healthcare Center. Born March 13, 1927, in Franklin County, he was the son of Adam Lohrey, Sr. and Addie Horn Lohrey. Adam was a man of many talents and he put them to good use as a factory worker, a bricklayer, construction worker and farmer; he always had two jobs. He was a lifetime member of the FOE 1129, and a 35 year member of the Redmen Lodge. Adam truly enjoyed working, but in his down time he liked to fish, play cards, hunt mushrooms and travel. Those surviving who will honor Adam's memory include children, Debbie Lohrey, Ralph (Carol), and Don (Janet) Lohrey, all of Brookville; grandchildren, Tammy (Jeff) O'Mara, Troy Lohrey, Tina (George) Ferriell, Todd (Linda) Lohrey, and Trev (Kelly) Lohrey; great grandchildren, Jackie (Tyler) Gettinger, Drew Simmermeyer, Alajah and Trey Lohrey; great, great grandson, Ford Gettinger; step-grandchildren, Carrie and Cassidy Stenger, Dillon Westerfeld, Jennifer (Chad) Robertson, George (Megan) Ferriell and Renee Ferriell. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Mae (Combs) Lohrey on February 25, 2012, and 8 sisters and brothers. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, June 26, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. till noon at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville. Malcom Greene will officiate the funeral service at 12:00 noon, at the funeral home. Burial is in Maple Grove Cemetery.
