Alma Anderson (née Ellison), of Sunman, was born on June 24, 1942, in Casey County, Kentucky. She was the cherished daughter of Raymond and Odell Ellison (née Roberts). Alma was united in marriage to Alvis Paul Anderson, and together they raised five children. Alma was blessed to be a homemaker.

On Friday, May 15, 2026, at the age of 83, Alma passed away peacefully.

Those surviving who will carry Alma’s legacy forward include her three children, Paulene (Dennis) Knapp, Bill (Judy) Anderson, and Jason (LeeAnn) Anderson, as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Alvis Paul Anderson, and two children Teresa Elza and Greg Anderson.

Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Alma Anderson may be made to a charity or organization of the donor’s choice.
