Obituary

Alma Hoffman, age 83, of Sunman, passed away April 1, 2015 at her residence. Born on December 20, 1931 in St. Leon, she was the daughter of Albert and Philomena Wedding Wilhelm. Alma worked at the Shoe Factory and later Kopps in Harrison. She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, and enjoyed playing cards and gardening. Alma loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Those surviving who will cherish Alma's memory include her children, Jerry (Mary) Hoffman, Sandy (Rodney) Eckstein, and Daniel (Debbie) Hoffman, all of St. Leon; 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren, and one sister, Rita (Robert) Gesell of St. Leon. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alois J. Hoffman; sister, Alvina Meyer, and brothers, Richard, Harold, Raymond and Stanley Wilhelm. Friends may visit with the family from 9 a.m. to 12 noon on Monday, April 6, 2015 at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 107 Vine Street, Sunman. A Mass of Christian burial, officiated by Father Frank Eckstein, will be at 1 p.m. at St. Nicholas Catholic Church. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery in St. Leon.
