Anna Mae Kruthaupt, age 84, of Batesville, passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at the Waters in Batesville. Born July 9, 1930 at home in Hamburg, she was the daughter of Mathias and Matilda (Dwenger) Nobbe. Anna Mae married Orville Kruthaupt Sr. on May 23, 1951 at St. Anne's in Hamburg. She worked in housekeeping for Batesville Casket and catered weddings. Anna Mae also spent ten years helping clean at Holy Family Church in Oldenburg. She was a member of Holy Family Church and the Ladies Society VFW. She enjoyed cooking homemade noodles, bread and pies for her family. Anna Mae also was an avid gardener, quilter, and seamstress. Her favorite past-time was her family, as she truly loved spending time with her kids, grandkids and great grandkids. Those surviving who will honor Anna Mae's memory include her husband of over 63 years, Orville Kruthaupt Sr.; children, Dale (Jackie) Kruthaupt of Batesville, Steve (Mara) Kruthaupt of Batesville, Debbie (Ken) Burkhart of Greensburg, Orville (Barb) Kruthaupt Jr., Diane (Gary) Gunter, Jim (Polly) Kruthaupt, Rita (Rick) Schutte, and David (Andrea) Kruthaupt, all of Batesville; 20 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one grandchild, Joshua Schutte; brothers, Charles Nobbe, Werner "Bud" Nobbe, Alvin "Butch" Nobbe, and sister, Freida Kreuzman. Visitation is 10 a.m. to 12 noon on Friday, January 16, 2015 at Holy Family Church in Oldenburg. A Mass of Christian burial, officiated by Rev. David Kobak, begins at 12 noon. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Family requests memorial donations to Holy Family Church, St. Mary's of the Rock Church or the Sunman Fire Department.
