Audrey Lucille Agapie, of Weisburg, was born on July 11, 1940 in Detroit, Michigan a daughter to Edward A. and Audrey Ethel Mann Spader. She married Jon Roman Agapie, Sr. and together they raised seven children. Audrey was a member of the Eastern Star, Alhambra, and a Lioness. Her family remembers her as a woman of conviction and an all around superwoman. She welcomed anyone in need with open arms into her home and life. Audrey would give you the shirt off her back and enjoyed feeding everyone with her wonderful cooking. On Saturday, January 5, 2019 at the age of 78, she passed away at Mercy West Hospital in Cincinnati surrounded by her family. She will be missed by all those who knew her.
Those surviving who will cherish Audrey's memory include her children, Jon Roman Agapie, Jr., Bev Agapie, Greg (Sonia) Agapie, Dan (Cheryl) Agapie, Mary (Joe) Lemons, David (Lelani) Agapie, and Tim Agapie; grandchildren, Tonya, Jon Roman III, Craig (Rachel), Adam, Adrian (Christie), Tiffany (Matt), Adriana, Nic, Joey, Kari, Renee, Joey, Michael, and Megan; great-grandchildren, Alex, Haley, Kaiden, Stephen, Andrew, Daniel, Joshua, Luke, Jordan, Liam, Aiden, Rowan, and Lochlan. Also surviving is sister-in-law, Bernice Spader; nieces and nephews, Edward J. Spader, Kimberly (Nolan) Spader Muire, Michael (Bella) Spader; many great nieces and nephews; family in Romania and Canada, as well as two dear "sisters" Pat Badescu and Delores Reed. Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Cierra and Mat; twin siblings, Donald and Donna Spader, a brother, Edward H. Spader, and "sister" Carol Binder.
Audrey's wishes were to be cremated. Memorials in her honor can be donated to Dearborn County Clearing House or to the Bright Lions Club # 34827. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
