Obituary

Bertha Mae Kiechle, age 88, of Evansville, died Friday, December 19, 2014 at St. Mary's Health System in Evansville, Indiana. Born on May 5, 1926, in Indianapolis, she was the daughter of Philmer and Bertha Fackler Cors. Her husband, Frederick L. Kiechle, preceded her in death in 1984. Bertha was a medical lab technician and also raised and trained German Shepherds and long-haired Dachshunds. She enjoyed flower gardening and supported environmental protection. Those surviving who will honor Bertha's memory include sons, Fritz Kiechle of Cooper City, FL, and Rick Kiechle of Evansville; daughter, Wilma Brumby of Taunton, England; 9 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, sons, Ed and Mike Kiechle, sister, Wilma Beck and brother, Paul Fackler. Visitation is Saturday, December 27, 2014 from 12 noon to 1 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, Hubbell's Corner. Services, officiated by Rev. Thomas Frey will begin at 1 p.m. Burial is immediately following at Evangelical Union Cemetery. Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, Sunman, Indiana is honored to care for the family of Bertha Kiechle.
