Betty ( Risch ) Pflum, 83, of Brookville, Indiana passed away April 8, 2012 at her residence after a brief illness. She was born on May 9, 1928 near Bentonville, Indiana to Julius Risch and Cecilia Ripperger Risch. She graduated in 1946 from ICA where she served as Student Orchestra Directress for four years and at the time of her death, she was the oldest livig Past-President of the ICA Alumnae. In 1949 she married Edwin 'Tinny' Pflum who preceded her in death in 1999. Genealogy was her passion and she wrote and published five family books. She also was active in her Church and Community including assisting the Brookville Library with their Veterans Project wich was completed in 2010.Her surviving family includes her children - Darrell and Janet Pflum of Brookville, Kevin Pflum of Sidney, OH, Vicki Pflum and Bill Humpert of Ft. Mitchell, KY, Dee Dee Pflum of Eugene, OR and Kim and Jerry Munchel of Brookville. Also 10 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren.A private visitation is being held at her request for the immediate Family. A Public Funeral Mass will be held at St Michael Church in Brookville on Wednesday, April 11 and starting at 10:00 AM At the convenience of the Family burial will take place in the St Michael Cemetery - Brookville,Indiana. Memorial donations to St Michael Cemetery or to Hospice of MMCH - Batesville.
