Betty J Rutz, 87, of Brookville, Indiana, died Wednesday, May 15, 2013. She was born July 11, 1925 in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Carl and Alice (Efland) Hille. She worked at Duck Creek Palace. Betty enjoyed her family and being active in the Metamora community. Left to honor Betty's memory are children; William F. Putnick of Cincinnati, OH, Barb Heis of Brookville, IN, and Richard Carl Putnick of Cedar Grove, IN; 12 grandchildren, including 5 local, John (Beth) Ripperger, Angel (Brian) Ripperger, Bill (Melissa) Heis, Ada Putnick and Kat Putnick; 23 great-grandchildren, including 8 local, Amber, A.J., Derek and Alicia Heis, Brandon and Blake Ripperger, and Kaylee and Lane Heis; and sister, Carol (Jack) Kimbler of Cincinnati, OH. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, William H. Putnick, brother Carl Hille, and sister, Audrey Ott. A Memorial Mass for Betty will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, officiated by Reverend Sean Danda.Donations may be directed to the Leukemia Foundation or Autism Speaks.
