Carl J. Bamonte. Jr, age 70, of Brookville, passed away Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at his residence. Born August 1, 1944, in Cincinnati, he was the son of Carl Joseph and Roseline (nee Flannigan) Bamonte. Carl was a graduate of Hughes High School of Cincinnati. He worked at Proctor and Gamble and retired after 34 years of service. Carl enjoyed gardening and yard work. Those surviving who will honor Carl's memory include his wife, Emily Redelman Bamonte of Brookville; son, Carl D. Bamonte of Sebastian, Florida; daughter, Diane (nee Bamonte) Thomas of Brookville, and son, Joseph Bamonte of St. Leon; step-son Leonard Baker of Connersville and step-daughter, Angie Tincher of Brookville, and 11 grandchildren. Also surviving are siblings, Ron Bamonte of Mason, Ohio and Mary Lee Rodgers of Sebastian, Florida. Carl was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation for friends and family will be Friday, October 17, 2014 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville. A Mass of Christian burial, celebrated by Father Shaun Whittington will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at St. Michael Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
