Carol S. Arcaro Chappell, 67, of Metamora, Indiana died Thursday, April 29, 2010 at Fayette Regional Health System in Connersville ,Indiana.She was born on March 4, 1943 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Arthur and Edith (Loheid) Spriggs. She worked as a Medical Assistance for Linden Medical Group in Fairfield, Ohio. In the past she had also worked for the Butler County Ohio Coroner's Office as a Death Scene Investigator and as a Morgue Assistant to Coroner, Dr. Burkhardt. She had a special place in her heart for the elderly, was also involved with Area 9, and delivered meals and visited with the homebound. Two of her greatest joys in life were her love of animals and being with her grandchildren. She lived a full life and was a fun lady. Her family shared that up to the moment she died they were laughing as they believed that she was able to hear this and wanted her to be surrounded by happiness and love. She is survived by her husband and best friend, whom she'd dated from the age of 12, Bob Arcaro of Metamora; Son, Russ Spreckelmeier of Springboro, Ohio; Daughter, Robin Spreckelmeier Clarke of New Bern, North Carolina; and Son and Daughter-in-law, Shawn and Jessica Arcaro of Hamilton, Ohio; Grandchildren Laura, Wyatt, Sammy Jo, Brandon, Kennedy, Katie and Emily; and sister Jean Leonard of Bristol, Tennessee; and she also had many Nieces and Nephews, many of whom she was particularly close to including Jean Ann, Bonnie, Jenny, Cindy, Missy, Mike, Bridgette, Timmy, and Debbie.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sisters Joan Sauerwein and Shirley Smith.The Visitation will be Wednesday, May 5, 2010 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Cook Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville, Indiana 47012. The evening will end with a song that Carol especially liked and a Prayer. A private Memorial Service will be arranged later at the convenience of her family.
