Carol Fay (Purkey) Neeley, 71, of Rincon, Georgia, and formerly of Brookville, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday June 30, 2010 at her residence.She was born in Moores Creek, Kentucky on April 16, 1939 to Homer and Hazel (Ingram) Purkey.She married Robert L. Neeley, Sr., who preceded her in death on November 12, 2005.She attended Living Water Church in Rincon, Georgia. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, going to Church, and spending time with her family. She also loved to read her Bible, teach God's word, & pray. She will be greatly missed here but Heaven rejoices.Survivors include Son, Gary L. Weltz of Cape Coral, Florida; Daughter and Son-in-law, Debra L. and William Nolty of Savannah, Georgia; Son and Daughter-in-law, Robert L. and Vicky Neeley II, of Liberty, Indiana; 7 Grandchildren, Brandon (Janis) Weltz, Erin Weltz, & Jeffrey Weltz, Joshua (Jadde) Nolty & Sheri Nolty, Tiffany Neeley & Jessica (Tyler) Neeley Stroud; 1 Great-grandchild, Jadiel A. Hernandez; 4 Siblings, Roberta (Rex) Harrah of Virginia; Randall (Agnes) Purkey & Gerald (Orpha) Purkey, all of Ohio, and Dale (Becky) Purkey of Florida; Sister-in-law, Wanda Purkey; and many Aunts, Uncles & Friends.In addition to her Parents and her Husband, Robert, she was preceded in death by her Son, James R. Neeley; Brother, Lonnie Purkey; and Daughter-in-law, Teresa Weltz.The visitation will be Tuesday, July 6, 2010 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Cook Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville, Indiana 47012. The funeral will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 1:00 PM at the Funeral Home. Wade Urban, Pastor of Restoration Ministries in Connersville, will officiate. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.Memorial donations may be directed to the funeral home to assist with expenses.
