Charlene Ellis, 67, of Connersville, Indiana, passed away Sunday, December 30, 2012 at her home.She was born on April 15, 1945, the daughter of Opal and Edna (Neeley) Cavins.Charlene was a devoted mother and grandmother. She owned C & E Comics in Connersville and was house manager at Residential CRF in Connersville.Survivors include; daughter, Gale (husband, Lester) Ward of Connersville, Indiana; son, Carlos Monroe of Connersville, Indiana; grandchildren, Ashley Spurlock, Ethan Spurlock, CJ Monroe, Joshua Monroe, and Kyle Monroe; sister, Gladys Remmler of Connersville, Indiana; brothers, Albert Cavins of Ohio, Larry Cavins of Brookville, Indiana, and Claude Cavins of Batesville, Indiana. Also surviving is ex son-in-law, Ace Spurlock of Connersville. Charlene was preceded in death by her mother, a sister, Marylee Ecohoff, and a brother, Marshall Cavins.Friends and family may visit from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Friday, January 4, 2012 at Cook Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville, IN.
