Charlene Hertel, of Brookville, was born on March 10, 1956, in Monticello, Kentucky, a daughter to Ray and Aileen Frost Raines.  She married Daniel Hertel on March 10, 1979, at Peace Lutheran Church in Connersville and he preceded her in death on November 4, 2010.  Charlene was a homemaker and enjoyed visiting with friends and family.  She was a member of St. Thomas Lutheran Church in Brookville.  On Saturday, April 20, 2024, at the age of 68, she passed away at St. Elizabeth Dearborn Hospital in Lawrenceburg.

Those surviving who will cherish Charlene's memory include her son and daughter-in-law, John and Angie Uhlmansiek; one grandchild, Chloe Hertel; two brothers, Mike Raines and Herb Raines, and several nieces and nephews.  Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Amanda Hertel.

Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, May 11, 2024, from 10 am. until time of service at 12 noon all at St. Thomas Lutheran Church, 823 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.  Burial will follow in Sims-Brier Cemetery.
