Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Corinne "Reeny" Johnson, who peacefully departed this world on January 17, 2025. She was a beacon of love, faith, and joy, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Corinne Johnson was a woman of unwavering faith, always putting God and her family above all else. She was a lifetime member of St. Michael Catholic Church where she sang in the choir and was the organist for 15 years. Her kindness knew no bounds, and her sweet disposition was a source of comfort and warmth to everyone she met. She had a unique ability to make each person feel special and loved, always ready with a gentle smile and a listening ear.

Her zest for life was truly inspiring.  Whether she was playing the organ, sharing stories of her days with Howie, volunteering at church, or hosting her loved ones at 1130 Main Street (with noodles and fried chicken on the menu), she put her entire heart into each day.  She was energized and eager to engage in life and work. She was the Franklin County Court Reporter for over 32 years, serving six different judges. Her laughter was infectious, and her positive outlook on life was a guiding light for her family and friends.

Above all, Corinne was devoted to her family. Her unwavering commitment to her loved ones was evident in everything she did. Her legacy of love and faith will continue to live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

We find solace in knowing that she is now at peace, reunited with loved ones who have gone before her. While we will miss her dearly, we are grateful for the countless memories and the love she shared with us.

She is survived by her children: daughter, Sharon Agin; sons, Mark (Judy); Chris (Nicole), and daughter-in-law, Carol. She also has 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Howard; son, Jeffrey; and son-in-law, Michael. Her siblings Harold Geis, Jay Geis, and Janet Conwell also preceded her in death.

Rev. Vince Lampert, pastor of St. Michael Church, will officiate the Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, January 24 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael Church in Brookville. Burial will follow in St. Michael Cemetery.

Family and friends may visit from 5 to 7pm on Thursday, January 23 at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 929 Main St., Brookville, where the rosary will be recited at 7 PM.
