Cornelius Knigga, 86, of Decatur, Alabama, and formerly of Dearborn County, Indiana, died Thursday, July 29, 2010 at the Floyd E. "Tut" Fann State Veterans Home in Huntsville, Alabama. He was born February 13, 1924 in Dillsboro, Indiana to Clifford and Viola (Cutter) Knigga. He was married to Dorothy (Graff) Knigga for 52 years until her death in 2002.He was a U.S. Army Veteran of both World War II and the Korean War. He was retired from Seagram's Distilleries in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Manchester, Indiana.Survivors include 2 Daughters, Linda Holcomb and her husband Mike of Decatur, AL, and Donna Ellis and her husband Paul of Sugarland, TX; five granddaughters, Tami Johnson (Mike) of Stamping Ground, KY, Laura Carlsen (Eric) of Atlanta, GA, Meghan Carroll (Blake) Decatur, AL, Erin Champion (Zac) Huntsville, AL, Katie Mixon (Matt), Plano, TX; two grandsons, Tim Ellis (Bryn) Malvern, PA, Michael Holcomb, Decatur, AL; two great granddaughters, Amanda Waldroup (Ryan) and Courtney Johnson of Stamping Ground, KY; two great grandsons, Steven Linley and Bryce Carroll of Decatur, AL.In addition to his Parents, Clifford & Viola Knigga, and his Wife, Dorothy Knigga, he was preceded in death by his Son, Nick Knigga and his Sister, Leota Holliday.Funeral Services will be Saturday August 7, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Zion Lutheran Church, 10629 State Road 48, Manchester (near Sunman), Indiana. Visitation will be 2 hours prior from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM also at the Church. Rev. Kirsten Springmeyer will officiate. Burial will be in the Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery in Manchester with Military Graveside Honors provided by the Army National Guard Honor Guard and the Sunman American Legion Post #337.Nephews and Great Nephews Chester Graff, Chris Graff, Anthony Graff, Mike Graff, Ryan Graff, and Kyle Graff will serve as pallbearers.Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Association, P.O.
