David Lawrence
Binder
February 12, 1950 – January 21, 2026
David Lawrence Binder, of Sunman, was born on February 12, 1950, the son of Lawrence and Frances Wozniak Binder. He was a proud graduate of Sunman High School, Class of 1968. David was employed by Refresco in Greendale, where he dedicated over 45 years of service. He was a mechanic; a trade he had a true knack for. He met Amanda, and together they cherished more than eight years together. In his spare time, David loved spending time in the garage—whether that meant wrenching on a classic car or motorcycle, or simply intending to do so and instead enjoying an ice-cold beverage. He was an avid Harley-Davidson enthusiast, and firing up his bike for some "wind therapy" was something he often enjoyed. David also had a soft spot for animals, especially pit bulls. On Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at the age of 75, David passed away peacefully in Amanda's arms after a brief illness.
Those surviving who will cherish David's memory include his wife Amanda; two daughters, Amy Binder, and Gwen Smith; three grandchildren, Brendan Binder, Shelby Cook, and Chase Cook; one great grandchild, Saige Binder; one sister, Carol Binder; as well as his nieces and nephews, Kathleen, Michael, Debbie, Rick, Sandra, Keith and Joyce. David was preceded in death by his parents, as well as one brother, Francis "Frank" Binder.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026, from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 12 noon at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 107 W. Vine Street, Sunman. Burial will follow immediately after in St. Paul Cemetery.
The man, the myth, the legend.
