David P. Meyer, 61, of Brookville, died Monday, December 9, 2013 at Fayette Regional Hospital in Connersville.He was born July 5, 1952 in Batesville, Indiana to Mack and Peg Rusterholz Meyer. David graduated from Eastern Kentucky University. He married Becky White on April 24, 1976 in Louisville, Kentucky and she survives. David worked for the Watch Center in Brookville and J & J Packaging in Sunman before retirement. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, cooking and sports.Those left to honor David's memory include his wife of over 37 years, Becky Meyer; children, Katherine (Casey) Almon of Princeton, IN, Neal (Alaina) Meyer of Bloomington, IN, and Justin (Mandy) Meyer of Atlanta, GA; 3 grandchildren, Allyson, Macy and Opal Meyer; 3 brothers, Richard (Jennifer) Meyer of North Bend, OH, Terry Meyer of Harrison, OH, and Mark (Peggy) Meyer of Eagle River, AK. Besides his parents, David was preceded in death by his father-in-law Hugh White.Visitation for family and friends will be Friday, December 13, 2013 from 4-8 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville. Services, at the funeral home, officiated by Father Sean Danda are Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
