Delmer G. Hoff, of Sunman, was born on June 20, 1943, in Dearborn County, Indiana, the son of Melvin and Ruth V. Manlief Hoff. He was married to Grace McQueen Hoff, and she preceded him in death on February 28, 2008. Delmer drove trucks for many years, having worked for Kopps and Huber trucking as well as the State of Indiana. He was a member of the St. Jacobs United Church of Christ, Blue Creek, and loved playing cards. On Monday, October 12, 2015, Delmer passed away at University Hospital in Cincinnati, at the age of 72. Those surviving who will cherish Delmer's memory include his step-daughter, Geraldine McDonald of Dodge City, Kansas; step-sons, Dave Lewis of Texas, and Stephen Moore of Ohio, and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his five sisters. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Jacobs United Church of Christ, Blue Creek. Friends may visit with the family from 9:00 a.m. till time of service.
