Dema Jean Baker, age 56, of Charlottesville, passed away on March 16, 2015 at Hancock Regional Hospital in Greenfield. Born on January 31, 1959 in Connersville to Eugene and "Jackie" Alene Harrison Gay. Dema married John Baker on October 11, 1991 in Metamora at Mt. Assembly Church of God. She was a homemaker and a member of the Greenfield Church of God and the Metamora Church of God. Dema loved taking her children fishing and doing fun activities with the kids and grandkids. Those surviving who will cherish Dema's memory include her husband John; daughter, Jimi Alene (Fred) Hodge of Greenfield, son, Donald Dewey Allen of Shirley, son Aaron Kyle Allen and partner Jerry Fiscus Allen of Michigan City; 9 grandchildren, Bobby, Kyle, Dakota, Kaden, Dawson, Dema, Breona, Dylan and Gannon; brothers, Paul Gay and William Gay of Carthage; and sister and brother-in-law Penny and Frankie Clouse of Delaware, OH. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Rocky Elmo Gay; son, John Edward and daughter Stevie Marlene. Friends may call on Dema's family Friday, March 20, 2015 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Metamora Church of God in Metamora. Pastor Wayne Ison will officiate the services on Saturday at 3 p.m. at the church.
