Denis L. Wilson, of Batesville, was born on October 10, 1953, in Hamilton County, Ohio, a son to Robert W. and Catherine Wilson.  He married Cheryl (Sherry) Schwegman on June 2, 2006, in Fairfield, Ohio and she survives.  Denis was a maintenance operator for Chem-Dyne for many years.  His claim to fame was the fact he was Ohio State Champion Horseshoe Pitcher.  Denis loved spending time with his family and being outdoors, especially fishing.  On Friday, September 15, at the age of 69 he passed away at Hospice of Hamilton.

Those surviving who will cherish Denis' memory include his loving wife, Sherry; one daughter, Lynette Wilson of Buffalo, NY; a grandson, Chris Tillman, Jr.; two sisters, Joy (Jack) Sasser of Liberty, and Janice (Lloyd) Harris of West Chester, OH; one brother-in-law, Denny (Sherry) Schwegman of Batesville, and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Wilson and a sister, Sherry Wagner.

Friends may visit with the family on Saturday, September 23, 2023 from 9 a.m. until time of Mass at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's of the Rock Catholic Church, 17440 St. Mary's Road, Batesville Indiana, 47006.  Members of the Brookville American Legion will provide full military honors after Mass.
