Donald A. Gramman, 81, of Brookville, Indiana, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2011 at the Brookville Healthcare Center.He was born January 20, 1930 in Franklin County Indiana to Leo and Frances (Wallpe) Gramman.He married Elizabeth L. (Betty) Schreiner on April 25, 1953 in Saint Michael Church in Brookville.He worked with Foley Construction in Cincinnati, Ohio where he began a lifetime career in construction where he soon became a full fledged Carpenter.He was a member of Saint Michael Church in Brookville, 50 year member of Ohio Carpenters Union Local #126, member of the Brookville Conservation Club, the Red Mens Lodge, and the Brookville Senior Citizens Center. He enjoyed helping with the yearly Easter egg hunt and the Santas Parties enjoying the comradery and card playing. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and country music with his family.Survivors include: his wife Betty, Children- Debbie (Joel) Seale of Brookville, Sharon (Doug) Pepper of Liberty, Pam (Stew) Brown of Muncie, Tim (Sharon) Gramman of Sunman, Randy (Michelle) Gramman of Brookville, Jeanne Murphy of Oxford, Ohio, Nancy (Brent)Meyer of Brookville, Judy (Scott) Conwell of Brookville, James (Pam) Gramman of Brookville, Rick (Toni) Gramman of Brookville, Patty Heckel of Indianapolis, 24 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren, Sisters and Brothers- Delores Ginder of Indianapolis, Lucille Tuefel of Brookville, Melvin (Rita) Gramman of Brookville, Ruth (Jake) Stenger of St. Leon, Laurine Gramman of Indianapolis, Whitey (Bertie) Gramman of Indianapolis, Carrol (Dianne) Gramman of Sunman, Also In-laws- Dick Erhardt of Batesville, Karol (Jerry) Mann of Greensburg, Sr. Mary Virginia Schreiner of Cincinnati, Judy Schreiner of Brookville, many Nieces and Nephews.He was preceded in death by: Parents, Sister Sylvia Erhardt, Brothers- Harold and Floyd, Brother in laws- Carl Ginder, Herschel Teufel and James Schreiner, Nieces- Beverly and Mary, Nephews- Gerald and Jason.Vistation will be Tuesday, March 8, 2011 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Cook Funeral Home in Brookville, the Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at 12:00 Noon, at Saint Michael Catholic Church in Brookville where Father C. Ryan McCarthy will preside. Burial will be in Saint Michael Cemetery.Memorial contributions may be made to Saint Michael School or the Alzheimers Association.
