March 17, 1936 – April 12, 2021
Donald Haessig, of Milan, was born on March 17, 1936 in Aurora, a son to Loren and Alma Roberts Haessig. He previously worked for New Horizons as a production worker and was a member of St. Paul Methodist Church. Donald liked to paint, watch T.V., and work puzzle books. On Monday, April 12, 2021 at the age of 85, he passed away at Ripley Crossing.
Those surviving who will cherish Donald's memory include his sisters-in-law, Pat Haessig of Milan, and Ella Mae Haessig of Syracuse; several nieces and nephews, Nelson (Clara) Haessig, Jr., Rob (Rebecca) Haessig, Tonya Haessig Alford, Doug (Megan) Haessig, Gretchen Berger, Andrea Haessig, David (Kim) Haessig, Daryl (Susan) Haessig, and Karen (Sunu) Thomas, as well as many great nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Nelson, Robert and Roger Haessig; sister-in-law, Joan Haessig, and one nephew, Joseph Haessig.
Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 107 Vine Street, Sunman from 11a.m. until time of service at 12 noon. Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery. Family requests that all those attending please wear facial coverings while in the funeral home.
