Doris Christine Klusman (Bauer), 89,was called to rest on September 20, 2010 in Evergreen, Colorado. Doris was born on a farm near Spades, Indiana on May 31, 1921, the daughter of Leo and Sophia Bauer. She married William Klusman on May 18, 1940. They lived in Batesville, IN and Cincinnati, OH from 1940-1950. In 1950, moved to Sunman, Indiana with their two children, Ronald and Janice (Knight), where they operated the Farm Shop until 1990. William preceded her in death on January 3, 1994 and her brother, Dale in 1960. In 1995, the Sunman Community Church presented Doris with an award of appreciation for 45 years of faithful service in teaching kindergarten-age children. She moved to Evergreen, CO in 1995 where she lived in Rocky Mountain Village in Bergen Park. In 2008 she moved to Elk Run and later resided in Evergreen Life Care Center until her passing after a short illness.Doris is survived by daughter Janice Knight of Lake St. Louis, MO and son Ronald Klusman of Evergreen, CO; Grandchildren include Robert and Richard of California, Laura Bultman of Minnesota, two great-grandchildren, and sister Evelyn of Indianapolis, IN.A memorial service will be held at the Sunman Community Church, 304 Vine Street, Sunman, IN 47041 at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 25, 2010. A private interment will be held prior to the memorial service in Huntersville St. John's Evangelical Church in Batesville, IN. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Sunman Community Church.
