Dorothy Enderle, age 92, of Metamora, Indiana, passed away Friday, February 21, 2014 at Brookville Healthcare Center.She was born June 30, 1921 in Cincinnati to John J. and Hilda May Huffman Oser. Dorothy married Melvin "Mac" Enderle on June 28, 1952 at St. Vincent De Paul Church in Cincinnati. She worked for Thom McCan for 25 years and later owned and operated "The Big House" in Metamora from 1986-2013. Dorothy was also a lifelong member of the Gailey Post 7340, Cincinnati VFW Auxillary. She enjoyed flowers and particularly loved raising sweet peas. Dorothy was quick witted and her sense of humor will be missed by family and friends. Those surviving who will honor Dorothy's memory include her husband of over 61 years, Melvin "Mac" Enderle; children, Beverly (Robert) Cox of Metamora, James (Karen) Rudisell of St. Leon, Robert Rudisell of West Harrison, Geraldine Walters of Cincinnati and John (Sheila) Dittly of Forest Park, OH; 14 grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Kenneth Rudisell, 2 brothers, Albert and Jack Oser, and one grandchild. Visitation is Wednesday, February 26, 2014 from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at Cook Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville. Father Sean Danda will officiate the funeral services at the funeral home beginning at 12 noon. Entombment will follow in Arlington Memorial Gardens in Cincinnati at 2 p.m.Family requests memorial donations to Brookville Healthcare Activities Fund.
