Word has been received of the passing of Douglas John Schuck of Batavia, Ohio on September 22, 2013. Doug "Scoop" was born July 28, 1959 to Henry and Stella "BeBe" Sacksteder Schuck of Cedar Grove. He was a graduate of Brookville High School, class of 1977 and Cincinnati Tech. Doug was employed with Johnson and Harding Printing Co. for 20 years in Cincinnati, Ohio. He enjoyed the outdoors and camping. Doug is survived by two brothers, Jonathan (Mary) Schuck and Sam (Diana) Schuck of Brookville; nieces and nephews, Stephanie and Jared Linder and Chris Schuck of Indianapolis, Valerie and Matt Merchant of Brookville, Liza and Kevin Campbell of Bloomington, and Nick and Amy Schuck of Amelia, OH; and one aunt, Clara Fohl of Cedar Grove. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant brother, Robert.Visitation for friends and family will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday, September 27, 2013, with Rosary at 3:45, at Cook Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville. A Mass of Christian burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 28, 2013 at Holy Guardian Angel Catholic Church, Cedar Grove, with Father Sean Danda officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorial donations in honor of Doug may be directed to the Franklin County Humane Society Endowment in care of Franklin County Community Foundation, the Imagination Library at Brookville Public Library or a Charity of Choice.
