Obituary

Earl Joseph Rosenberger, 85, of Brookville, died Monday, November 25, 2013 at University Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.He was born October 5, 1928 in Bath, Indiana to Joseph and Veronica Stenger Rosenberger. He married Jane VanAusdall on December 2, 1950 at St. Michael Church in Brookville and she preceded him in death on May 1, 2003. He was a wonderful family man and a lifelong farmer who was passionate about his occupation. Earl was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, Council 1010, and Bath Conservation Club. He was also a former director at Bath State Bank and Drewersburg Volunteer Fire Department. Those left to honor Earl's memory are children, Barbara (Ron) Singer, Linda (Larry) Brown, Tim (Linda) Rosenberger, all of Brookville, and Tom (Judy) Rosenberger of West Harrison; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and brother, Jim Rosenberger of Hamilton, OH. Besides his wife, Jane, Earl was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Lawrence and Paul Rosenberger, and sister, Rosemary Seale.Visitation for friends and family is Sunday, December 1, 2013 from 2-7 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, December 2, 2013 at St. Michael Catholic Church with Rosary prayed at 10:45. Father Sean Danda will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.Memorial donations can be directed to the Chris Haas Memorial Fund c/o the Union County Foundation, or the Brain Injury Fund of the Mayfield Education Research Foundation.
