Elaine Marie Knueven, 54, of Sunman, Indiana died Friday, January 8, 2010 at The Waters of Batesville in Batesville, Indiana.She was born on February 15, 1955 in Batesville, Indiana to John W. and Mary Ann (Graf) Knueven.She was a 1973 Graduate of Sunman High School and graduated as an RN from the Good Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing in Cincinnati, Ohio. She spent her career working as a traveling nurse in many facilities throughout the tri-state area as well as througout the United States. She was a founding member of the Sunman Area Life Squad and she was a member of St. Nicholas Church in Sunman, Indiana. She was also a past member of the St. Nicholas Adult Choir for many years. Elaine was also an avid bike rider.Survivors include her Mother, Mary Ann Knueven of Sunman, Indiana; three Brothers and Sisters-in-law, John M. and Karen B. Knueven, Michael L. and Karen R. Knueven, and William and Beverly Knueven, all of Sunman; and 12 Nieces and Nephews and 14 Great Nieces and Nephews.She was preceded in death by her Father, John Wilbur Knueven, who died in 1974. The Visitation will be Thursday, January 14, 2010 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at St. Nicholas Church, St. Nicholas Road, Sunman, Indiana, 47041. The Rosary Service will be at 10:00 AM. The Funeral Mass will begin immediately following the visitation at 12:00 Noon at St. Nicholas Church. Monsignor Harold Knueven and Fr. Frank Eckstein will officiate. Memorial donations may be directed to the Sunman Area Life Squad, or given for Masses or to be used according to the wishes of the family.
