Elizabeth "Betty" Allen, age 71, of Brookville, passed away September 4, 2013 at Brookville Healthcare Center.She was born to Arthur Fields and Mary Smith Fields on September 14, 1941 in Fayette County. Elizabeth married Riley "Bud" Allen on December 13, 1961 in Brookville, and he survives. She was a waitress for over 20 years at Phillips 27 of Oxford, OH and had also worked at Cracker Barrel in Harrison for over 10 years. She enjoyed playing bingo, camping and fishing with her husband, and spending time with her family.Those surviving who will honor Elizabeth's memory include; husband, Riley Allen; daughters, Janeen (Joe) Goldsmith of Oldenburg, Rebecca Allen of Cincinnati, and Margaret (Kraig) Lake of Brookville; son, William (Donna) Allen of Brookville; 11 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren; brothers, George Fields of Liberty, Stanley Fields of Liberty, Clyde Fields of Indianapolis; and sister, Sue Parks of Indianapolis. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Fields.Visitation for friends and family will be Tuesday, September 10, 2013 from 11 AM to 1 PM at Cook Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville, IN. Rev. Wayne Ison of Metamora Church of God will officiate the services beginning at 1 PM. Burial will follow in Quakertown Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
