Ellie L. Kruse, age 90, of Sunman, Indiana, passed away Sunday, June 16th, 2013 at Shady Nook Care Center in Lawrenceburg, Indiana.She was born June 12, 1923 to Henry and Elizabeth Conrad Meister in Guilford, Indiana. She married Paul W. Kruse in 1947 in St. John Lutheran Church at Hubbells Corner. Ellie was a devoted mother and farm wife. She enjoyed her family and church. She had a special gift for gardening, both vegetables and flowers and also indoor plants. Those left to honor Ellie's memory include; daughters, Marie Dausch of Batesville, and Jane Kruse of Pottsville, Pennsylvania; sons, John (Jane) Kruse of Sunman, and Jim (Camille) Kruse of Harlan, Indiana; 7 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sisters, Carrie Burress, Anna Karst, and Elsie Dobson and brother, Joe Meister.Visitation is Friday, June 21, 2013 at St. John Lutheran Church, Hubbells Corner from 12 noon to 2 p.m. The funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Evangelical Union Cemetery, Hubbells Corner.Memorial donations may be directed to St. John Lutheran Church Fellowship Hall.
