Estill Spurlock of Batesville, Indiana was born on March 22, 1940 in Clay County, Kentucky, a son to MC and Mary Bell Davidson Spurlock.  He married Velma Davidson on November 11, 1972 at Negengard Corner Freewill Baptist Church.  Estill was a welder at Philco Ford and a member of the UAW.  Estill belonged to PipeCreek Freewill Baptist Church in Penntown and his free time he liked to hunt, fish, and loved being with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.  On December 18, 2015, at the age of 75, Estill passed away at University Hospital in Cincinnati.

Those surviving who will cherish Estill's memory include his wife of 43 years, Velma Spurlock; children, Brenda (James) Stanley of Milan, Evelyn Sunderhaus of Sunman, Beverly (Dave) Hoegeman of Sunman, Aaron (Shannon) Spurlock of Batesville, Angela Spurlock of Batesville, and Aric (Dawn) Spurlock of Batesville; 17 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sister, Emily Tichner of Versailles; brothers, Cecil Spurlock and Floyd Spurlock, both of Milan, and Elmer Spurlock of Georgetown, OH.  Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by son-in-law, Butch Sunderhaus; 2 sisters, Mae Davidson, and Geneva Simpson, and 3 brothers, Ray Spurlock, Alex Spurlock and Nathan Spurlock.

Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville.  Services will be held at 1:30 on Wednesday and burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.
