Obituary

Eugene "Tude" Morris Schultz, age 84, of Sharptown, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2015 at home surrounded by his family. Born May 22, 1930 on Snow Hill in Whitewater Township, Franklin County, he was the son of Louis and Bessie (Brown) Schultz. Tude served his country as part of the United States Army. He was a lifetime farmer. Tude was a member of the Bath Conservation Club, the St. Joseph Post #464 American Legion in St. Leon, and Holy Guardian Angel Church. He enjoyed playing cards, especially euchre, making wine, picking up rocks, and pulling weeds, among many other farming duties. Tude was an avid Reds fan and liked spending time at the Sale Barn with his dog, "Matt" and passing out produce to friends and family. Those surviving who will cherish Tude's memory include his nieces and nephews, Richard Schultz, Peggy Cooper, Lyle Schultz, Holly Bess, David Schultz, and Dennis Schultz, and several great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Richard Schultz, Bob Schultz, and Jack Schultz; sister, JoAnn Schultz, and niece Bev Schultz. Friends may visit with Tude's family on Friday, April 17, 2015 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville. Rosary prayer service will be at 3:30. A Mass of Christian burial, officiated by Father Sean Danda, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at Holy Guardian Angel Church in Cedar Grove. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors provided by the St. Joseph Post #464 American Legion. Family requests memorial donations to the Eugene "Tude" Schultz Memorial Endowment for Bath Conservation Club, made payable to Franklin County Community Foundation.
