Eunice Combs Derringer, age 70, of Sunman, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2015 at her residence. Born in Hamilton, Ohio on January 1, 1945, she was the daughter of Clayton and Lila Cornett Combs. She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Sunman. Eunice enjoyed spending time with family and friends, reading the Bible, and going to church. She also enjoyed taking care of her pet "Boots" and traveling, especially to Florida to visit family. Those surviving who will honor Eunice's memory include daughters, Darlene (Tina Arrona) McCleary of St. Leon, and Paula (Gene) Flint of Osgood; sons, Jerry (Sheri) Derringer of Milan, and Justin (Tricia) Derringer of Lancaster, OH; 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Norma Goodpaster of Dunedin, FL, Billy Jack Combs of Tarpon Springs, FL, Donald Combs of Tampa, FL, Charles Combs of Sunman, IN, Darrell Combs of Aurora, IN, Tommy Combs of Huntington, WV, Sharon Combs of Milan, and Larry Combs of Milan. Besides her husband, Jerry Delbert Derringer and a daughter, Vera Mae Derringer, she was preceded in death by her parents, and sisters, Pauline Haney and Glyndora Combs. Friends may visit with Eunice's family from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 107 Vine Street, Sunman, Indiana. Funeral services, officiated by Charles Combs, Tommy Metcalf and Chuck Gerrain, will be at the funeral home on Wednesday at 2 p.m. Memorial donations may be directed to the family.
