Farris Edington, 79 of Metamora Indiana, passed away Thursday, March 14th at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born in Indiana on February 28, 1934 to George and Flossie (Reeves) Edington. He served his country in the United States Army from 1954 to 1956. He was retired from Hewlett- Packard where he served as an Electronic Technician, On August 3rd, 1974 he married his wife, Patricia (Cummings) Edington. He is survived by his wife- Patricia of Metamora, a daughter- Audra (Patrick) Doyle, two sons- John Edington and Matt (Cindy) Edington and his grandchildren James, Mara and Austin Doyle and Eliana Edington all of Cincinnati, Ohio, Sisters- Mildred Burtner of Muncie, Indiana and Helga Modlin of Anderson, Indiana, Brother- Raymond Edington of Bardstown, Kentucky. Visitation will be Saturday, March 16th from 9:30AM to 10:30AM at Cook Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville, Indiana 47012, the Funeral Service will follow visitation at 11:00AM at Metamora United Methodist Church, Church Street, Metamora, Indiana 47030, and will be officiated by Pastors Justin Dunn and David Bowser. Burial will be in Metamora Cemetery.The family requests memorial donations be directed to the church of your choice no flowers to be sent.
