Francis A. Bischoff, age 90 of Blooming Grove, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, May 26, 2015. Born on December 26, 1924 in St. Leon, he was the son of the late Joseph and Lena (Hoffman) Bischoff. Francis married Doris Geiling on June 28, 1952 at St. Michael church. He retired from Ford after 37 years and was a member of St. Michael church. Francis loved spending time with his family and friends, mushroom hunting, farming, and taking long rides. Francis is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Doris; children, Gary Bischoff, Diana (Gary) Thomas, Becky (Bill) Trammell, Glen (Patty) Bischoff, Joe (Tina) Bischoff, and Gerald (Tracy) Bischoff, all of Blooming Grove, Julia (Dave) Johnson of Fishers and Beverly (Dale) Fohl of Cedar Grove; 15 grandchildren, Justin (Deena) Thomas, Kris (Kelsie) Thomas, Kylie Thomas, Nicholas (Cristina) Johnson, Carrie (Kenny) Meeks, Katherine Johnson, Kristin. Alex and Rachel Bischoff, Matthew and Sarah Bischoff, Adam and Michele Fohl, and Zach and Shannon Bischoff; seven great-grandchildren, and one brother, Wilfred (Betty) Bischoff of St. Leon. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Angela Wilhelm and Dorothy Bischoff, and three brothers, Ernie, Alfred, and Leroy Bischoff. Visitation is Thursday, May 28, 2015 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville. A Mass of Christian burial will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
