Frank A. Fuchs, 89, of Harrison, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, July 24 at Shawneespring.He was born July 26, 1922 in Yorkville Indiana, a son of the late John and Helena (Fox) Fuchs.Frank married Mary Jane Meister August 26, 1950 at St. Patrick Church in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was a World War II Navy Veteran and later part of the Operating Engineer's Union and a Heavy Equipment Operator.His memberships included St. John the Baptist Church in Dover, Indiana, St. Leon Legion Post 464, Voiture 40-8, North Dearborn Conservation Club, and the Franklin County Antique Machinery Club.Survivors include his wife of nearly 62 years, Mary Jane Fuchs, and 4 daughters; Dorothy (Charles) Hautman, of St. Leon, IN, Valerie (Andy) Messina of Huntington Beach, CA, Marjorie Fuchs of Rancho Mirage, CA, and Pamela (William) Herrmann of Connersville, IN. 2 Brothers, Stanley Fuchs of Dover, IN, and Paul Fuchs of Metamora, IN, Grandchildren, Matthew (Shannon) Hautman, Megan Hautman (Keith Chrapliwy), Sarah Messina, Alex Messina, and Great-Grandchildren, Olivia Chrapliwy and Kate Chrapliwy.Besides his parents, he was preceeded in death by 2 brothers, Raymond and Lincoln James Fuchs and 2 sisters, Emma Huber and Mary Slade.Visitation will be Saturday, July 28th, 2012 at Cook Funeral Home, 929 Main Street Brookville from 10am to 12:30pm with a Military Memorial Service at 12:15pm.Funeral Mass is at 1:30pm Saturday at St. John the Baptist Church in Dover, IN, with Pastor Scott Nobbe officiating.
