George Cole, 90, of Sunman, Indiana died Thursday, February 11, 2010 at the Ripley Crossing in Milan, Indiana. Born May 12, 1919 in Rock Camp, West Virginia he was the son of Daley and Margaret (Christan) Cole, both of whom preceded him in death. He wed Frances Marie Roy, whom he was married to for 64 years.He was a World War II Veteran, having served in the Army Air Corp. After more than 35 years he retired from the OPW Dover Corporation in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was a life member of the Veteran's of Foreign Wars (VFW) of the United States and attended the Harrison, Ohio Branch and he was also a member of the Brookville, Indiana American Legion Post #77. He attended the Sunman Church of Christ.Survivors include his Wife, Frances Cole of Sunman, Indiana; Son and Daughter-in-law, George and Judy Cole of Vevay, Indiana; Son and Daughter-in-law, Robert and Marsha Cole of Zainsville, Ohio; Daughter and Son-in-law, Joyce and Don Davis of Cleves, Ohio; Daughter and Son-in-law, Brenda and Allen Jellison of Ross, Ohio; and Daughter and Son-in-law Judy and David Wilson of Ross, Ohio; 15 Grandchildren; and many Great Grandchildren. In addition to his Parents his was preceded in death by four Brothers, Tom Cole, Hobert Cole, Wilson Cole, and Clifford Cole and six Sisters, Rose Furrow, Rachel McMaham, Ellie Sparks, Elizabeth Roach, Ethel Furrow and Ruth McMaham Bennett.The Visitation and Funeral will be Saturday, February 13, 2010 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at Cook Funeral Home, 107 Vine Street, Sunman, Indiana 47041. The Funeral Service will begin at 12:00 Noon. Rev. Charles Miller, Pastor of the Grace Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Hwy 101, Sunman, Indiana.
