Gladys M. Matthews, 88, of Brookville, Indiana, passed away at her residence on Thursday, August 4th, 2011.She was born on May 30, 1923 in Fairborn, Ohio to Frank Short, Sr. and Mabel (Wiley) Short.She was a office worker for Brookville IGA for 28 years, worked in the cafeteria of the Brookville Elementary School for a time and during WWII worked at Wright Patterson Air Force Base.She was a member of the Valley Christian Church in Brookville, a member of the VFW Auxillary and loved to play cards especially at the Franklin County Senior Center.
