Grace Marie Burns, of Metamora, was born on October 19, 1959, in Troy, Ohio. The cherished daughter of J. Richard and Rosemary Gaier (née Anderson). She was a devoted Catholic, deepening her faith and reaffirming her commitment to her Lord and Savior in the months leading up to her passing. Gracie was truly a diva in the best sense of the word. She took pride in her appearance—her hair always styled just right, her nails perfectly painted, and her outfits and shoes chosen with care and flair. She found great joy in spending her days shopping or picking out her favorite hair products. You could always recognize Gracie from afar on the streets of Metamora—a beautifully put-together woman whose presence was as vibrant as her personality.

On Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at the age of 66, Gracie passed away peacefully with her loving caretaker and friend, Bev, by her side.

Those surviving who will cherish Gracie's memory include her daughters, Melissa (Brad) Eckelbarger and Ashley (Chris) Morgan; six grandchildren, Blake, Brock, Brooks, Braxton, Kyrie, and Dakota; three brothers, David, Chris, and Matt (Lisa) Gaier; as well as close friend and caretaker, Bev Cox. In addition to her parents, Gracie was preceded in death by one brother, John; and her twin sister who passed shortly after birth, Maryann.

In keeping with Gracie's wishes, cremation was chosen and there will be no public services. Inurnment at Forest Hill Cemetery in Piqua, Ohio will take place at a later date at the family's convenience.
