Gregory "Greg" C. Korner, Jr., 46, of Richmond, Indiana, and formerly of Brookville, died Sunday, June 13, 2010 at his residence.Born August 23, 1963 in Cincinnati, Ohio he was the son of Gregory C. Korner, Sr. and the late Jeanette Bennett Korner.Greg attended grade school at St. Michael Catholic School and was a graduate of Brookville High School, where he was a member of the wrestling team. He had formerly attended First Baptist Church in Brookville. Greg worked at Doggie in the Window Pet Grooming in Richmond and he was a writer for the Gad-A-Bout Outdoor News and an accomplished and published photographer. Greg was an outdoorsman who loved to hunt and fish. He also made arrow heads and Native American jewelry. He had a special interest in Native American folklore and artifacts.Survivors include one Daughter, Holly (Randy) Towe of Kenwood, Ohio; Father, Gregory C. Korner, Sr. of Brookville; Step-Mother, Gladys Korner of Harrison, Ohio; one Brother, John (Diana) Korner of Brookville; three Sisters, Michele (Steve) Wessels of Sunman, and Christine (Ron) Kersey and Julianna Korner, all of Brookville. In addition to his Mother, Jeanette, who died December 5, 1993, he was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandparents, Ernest Korner, Jr. and Gertrude Korner as well as his Maternal Grandparents, Stanley & Frances Bennett.The Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 PM on Thursday, June 24, 2010 at Cook Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville, Indiana 47012. A Memorial Service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 6:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
