Harland Dale "Hob" Kratzer, age 91, of Plainfield, Indiana, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2015. Born August 31, 1923 in Indianapolis, he was the son of John L. and Rose M. Jonas Kratzer. He was a United States Army veteran, having served from 1944 to 1946. Harland married Lorena Bigney on May 2, 1945 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and she preceded him in death on June 3, 2014. He worked for the railroad from 1946 to 1984. Those surviving who will honor Harland's memory include daughter Bonita (Steve) Conner of Brazil, Indiana; son, Darryl (Sharon) Kratzer of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Jeff Starks, Kris Starks and Teresa Kratzer; great grandchildren, Kortnee Starks and Logan Starks, and brother, Ronald Kratzer of Padre Island, Texas. ***NOTE SERVICES HAVE BEEN CHANGED DUE TO WEATHER******* Services will be held at noon on Monday, February 23, 2015 at St. Paul Cemetery in Sunman.
