Hazel (Lowery) Wolfe, 90, of Brookville, Indiana, died at the Waters in Batesville, Indiana, on Monday, March 4, 2013. She was born on July 12, 1922 in Manchester, Kentucky to Steve and Etta Rawlins Brumley, the eldest of 12 children. She married Charles Lowery in October, 1941 in Cincinnati, Ohio and he preceded her in death on October 2, 1953. Hazel retired from Sperry Rubber and Plastics. She enjoyed sewing and crafts and loved tending to her flower garden. Survivors include; daughters, Janet (Russ) Palmer of Celina, Ohio and Rita (Frank) Rogers of West Plains, Missouri; sons, David (Wanda) Lowery of Metamora, Indiana and Danny (Kathy) Lowery of Connersville, Indiana; daughter Sandy (Bill) Treadway of Versailles, Indiana; 14 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 8 great, great-grandchildren; three sisters, Naomi Sizemore of Kentucky, Evelyn Creech of Arizona, and Annette Wells of Florida; and one brother, Arnold Brumley of Kentucky.In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by son, Richard Dale Lowery, 2 sisters and 5 brothers. Friends may visit with Hazel's family Thursday, March 7, 2013 at Cook Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville, Indiana from 4-8 p.m. Pastor Wayne Ison will officiate the Celebration of Life Friday at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.
