Henry F. "Jerry" Blanton, 46, of Fairfield, Ohio and formally of New Trenton, Indiana, died Monday, August 9, 2010 at his residence. He was born May 30,1964 in Hamilton, Ohio to Henry Eugene Blanton and Yuthona Mae (Gilbert) Blanton. Jerry was a member of the House of Power and Prayer in New Trenton, Ohio. He played bass guitar at Church. His family shared that he was a very good bass player as well as a very nice singer. He was an avid sports fan particularly enjoying football and baseball. He was a supporter of his hometown teams the Reds and the Bengals. He is survived by his Father, Henry E. Blanton of New Trenton, Indiana; three Sons, Bo Blanton of Oneida, Tennessee, Michael Blanton of Hamilton, Ohio, Jordan Blanton, living at home; two Daughters, Holly Blanton Johnson of Middletown, Ohio, Megan Blanton, living at home; Brother, Anthony "Tony" Blanton of Brookville, Indiana; Sister, Evelyn "Sis" Esterkamp of West Harrison, Indiana; and five Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Mother, Yuthona Mae Blanton; former Wife, Nicole Brickner .The Visitation will be Friday, August 13, 2010 from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 PM at Cook Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville, Indiana 47012. The Funeral Service will immediately follow the visitation beginning at 2:00 PM at the Funeral Home. George Savage, Assistant Pastor of House of Power & Prayer Church in New Trenton, Indiana, will officiate. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville, Indiana. Memorial donations may be directed to the funeral home on the family's behalf to assist with expenses. Family members will serve as pallbearers.
