Howard C. Jenner, 90, of Sunman, Indiana, died Saturday, February 27, 2010 at the Waters of Batesville.He was born October 15, 1919 on the family farm in Ripley ocunty, which he continued to live on and farm. His parents were Charles Jenner and Gertrude Hildebrand Jenner. He married Ruth Marie Ellinghausen on June 30, 1951 at Zion Lutheran church in Manchester, Indiana. He was a retired farmer. He was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Penntown, Indiana.Survivors include his Wife, Ruth Jenner; Daughter and son-in-law Wanda and Bill Staten of Lafayette, Indiana, Son, Wayne Jenner of Sunman, Indiana and his special friend , Janet Hoppus;four Grandchildren and four Great Grandchildren.In addition to his Parents he was preceeded in death by a sister Alice Ellinghausen.The Visitation will be Tuesday, March 2, 2010 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Cook Funeral Home, 107 Vine Street, Sunman, Indiana 47041. The Funeral Service will be Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at 10:00 AM at the Funeral Home. Pastor Peter A. Frye of St. Johns United Church of Christ will officiate. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, Penntown.Memorial contibutions may be directed to the Sunman Life Squad or The American Diabetes Association.Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers.
