Ival J. Kennel, 69, of Brookville died Friday, April 23, 2010 at the Brookville Healthcare Center's Hospice Unit. He was born August 12, 1940 in St. Peters, Indiana to Elton and Virginia (Carberry) Kennel. He attended St. Peters School and was a graduate of Brookville High School. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Cuban Crisis on the U.S. Independence. He is survived by two Brothers, Elton (Helen) Kennel of Brookville, Indiana and George (Ruth) Kennel of Pensacola, Florida; four Sisters, Marianne Scheper of Ft. Mitchell, Kentucky, Jean (Lee) Kruthaupt of Brookville, Indiana; Lillian Kennel of Batesville, Indiana and Rosemary (Lloyd) Ball of St. Peters, Indiana; also many lovin relatives and friends. In addition to his Parents he is preceded in death by three Brothers, Charles, Loren, & John Kennel.The Visitation will be Tuesday, April 27, 2010 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at Cook Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville, Indiana, 47012. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday at 12:00 Noon at St. Peters Church. Rev. Humbert Moster, of St. Peters Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Peters Cemetery with Military Honors provided by Brookville American Legion's Bernard Hurst Post #77.Memorial donations may be directed to the Cancer Society of Franklin County, Veteran's Services of Franklin County, or to the Senior Citizen's Center to be used for Participant Services.Pallbearers ar Marvin Cook, Thomas Ball, Matthew Ball, Joe Scheper, Bill Scheper, Robert Kruthaupt, Ryan Dockery, and Michael Kennel.
