James Edward Fay, 85, of Sunman, Indiana died Sunday, May 2, 2010 at Margaret Mary Community Hospital in Batesville, Indiana. He was born February 1, 1925 in Brooksville, Kentucky to Frank P. and Ruby (Lowe) Fay.He married Billy A. Cato, and she survives. He was an Army Veteran of World War II, serving in the Pacific and Japan, where he was a Staff Sergeant in the Calvary. He was a Business Administrator for General Electric, retiring after 37 years. He was also a farmer and loved his work. In addition to his wife, Billy Fay of Sunman he is survived by two Sons, James E. Fay, Jr of Cornel, Indiana and William Fay of New Alsace, Indiana; 5 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren; three Sisters, Rose Taylor of Dayton, Ohio, Mary Rumford of Louisville, Kentucky, and Ann Hellwig of Grosbeck, Ohio; and two Brothers, Joe Fay of Key West, Florida, and Cecil Fay of Washington State.The Visitation will be Thursday, May 6, 2010 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Cook Funeral Home, 107 Vine Street, Sunman, Indiana 47041. The Funeral Mass will be at St. Paul Catholic Church, 9798 North Dearborn Road, New Alsace, Indiana. Burial will follow in St. Paul Cemetery in New Alsace with a Graveside Military Flag Presentation provided by the Army National Guard Military Honors Detail. Trumpeter and Retired Marine, Don Bill, will play Taps. Donations may be directed to the St. Paul Catholic Church or the St. Paul School.
