James L. Kruthaupt, of Batesville, was born on October 1, 1937, in Batesville, a son to Lawrence and Agatha Wespesser Kruthaupt.  He served his country in the Army Reserves and was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Morris.  Jim loved cars and his siblings can remember him always trying to talk their father into buying a newer or different vehicle.  He enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his family.  On Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at the age of 87, he passed away at the Waters of Batesville.

Survivors include his two sisters, Dolores (Orville) Kunkel; Bernadine (Virgil) Kunkel; one brother, Michael (Jean) Kruthaupt, and many nieces and nephews.  Jim was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers, John, Richard and Walter.
