James Vernon "Sonny" Ledger Jr. of Milan died on June 10, 2020 at Margaret Mary Health in Batesville.

Sonny was born in Cincinnati on October 1, 1953, to James Vernon Ledger Sr. and  Katherine Williams Ledger. Earlier in his life he was baptized and attended St. Paul United Methodist Church in Sunman. He was a 1971 graduate of Milan High School and was employed as a mechanic. Sonny enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outdoors, working on his motorcycles and cars, and spending time with family.

Sony is survived by his mother Katherine; three sisters and their spouses: Thelma Rose and Kenny of Versailles, IN; Kathy Bowling and Roger of DeFuniak Springs, FL; and Judy Sturm and Tom of Cincinnati, OH; and several nieces and nephews. Sonny was preceded in death by his father, James Vernon Ledger Sr.; his wife Sommai (Dang) Ledger; and a brother Ronald Ledger Sr.

In keeping with Sonny's wishes, cremation was chosen with no public services. Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home in Sunman has assisted the family with the arrangements.
