James H. Lemons, 71, of New Trenton, Indiana passed away Monday, June 20 at his residence.He was born January 26, 1940 in Chattanooga, Tennessee to Paul and Catherine (Carson) Lemons.He was married to Wanda M. Ashcraft who survives.He was a self employed handyman and carpenter who loved to fish in his spare time. He was baptized in Cedar Grove, Georigia in 1981 and became active in Church work in Cleves, Ohio before becoming a memeber of Smyrna Missionary Baptist Church in New Trenton.Survivors include: his Wife- Wanda M. Lemons, Daughters- Lana McInnis of Atlantic Beach, Florida and Melissa Stockhoff of New Trenton, Indiana, Sons- Randy Lemons of Reading, Ohio, Scott Lemons of Brookville, Indiana, Ron Stockhoff of Greendale, Indiana, Pat Stockhoff of Cleves, Ohio, and Terry Stockhoff of Logan, Indiana, 11 Grandchildren, 6 Step-Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren and 7 Step- Great Grandchildren, Sisters- Connie Hester of Cincinnati, Ohio and Sharon Steele of Flintstone, Georgia.He was preceded in death by his Parents, 1 Sister and 2 brothers, 1 grandchild.Visitation will be Friday, June 24, 2011, 11:00 Am to 1:00 PM at the Smyrna Missionary Baptist Church 4047 US 52, New Trenton, Indiana, the Funeral service will follow visitation at 1:00 PM where Pastor Chuck McMahon will preside.Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Brookville, with graveside Military Honors.Memorials may be made to the Cancer Society or St. Judes Childrens Hospital.
