James "Darrell" Merritt, Sr., 58, of Sunman, Indiana died Monday, May 31, 2010 at his residence.He was born August 4, 1951 in Campbellsville, Kentucky to Ollie and Lillian (Cook) Merritt. He married Polly Shaw, who survives. He was a city truck driver for Pitt Ohio Express in Cincinnati, Ohio for 13 years. He enjoyed his job, gardening, and being outdoors, but his true love was his grandchildren.In addition to his Wife, Polly, survivors include his Children, James "Jamie" Merritt, Jr., of Cincinnati, Ohio and Jon, Sarah, and Joseph Boedicker, all of Sunman; two Grandchildren, Jayden Michael and Libby Marie Boedicker, living at home; and two Sisters, Gail Loukinas f Cincinnati, Ohio and Judie Miles of Georgia.In addition to his Parents he was preceded in death by one Sister, Bernice Patterson, and three Brothers, Glen, Jerry, and Coy Merritt.The Visitation will be Friday, June 4, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM and also Saturday, June 5, 2010 from 2:30 to 6:30 PM at Cook Funeral Home, 107 Vine Street, Sunman, Indiana 47041. The Funeral Service will be Sunday, June 6, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Funeral Home. Dear Friend, Eric Ginder, will preside. Burial will be in St. Paul Cememtery, 8930 N. State Road 101, Sunman, Indiana.
