Jean V. Dorrel, 81, passed away Saturday, July 21, 2012 at her residence in Brookville, Indiana.She was born March 18, 1931 in Richmond, Indiana, a daughter of the late Everett and Esther (Helms) Harsh.Jean married Raymond Dorrel June 12, 1948 in Rensselaer, Indiana at the Parsonage of the Methodist Church. She was a homemaker and a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed sewing and doll making, baking cookies, gardening, and tending her flowers.Her memberships included the Friendly Neighbors Home EC Club, Whitcomb United Methodist Women's Group, Franklin County Farm Bureau, Springfield Township Republican Precinct Committee, and Whitcomb United Methodist Church.She is survived by her Husband, Raymond, Son - Gary (Elaine) Dorrel of Brookville, Daughter - Donna (Steve) Brack of Brookville, Son - Kenneth (Theresa) Dorrel of Brookville, Son - Jeffery G. (Judy) Dorrel of Knightstown, Son-in-law - Don Nesbitt of Felicity, OH and 16 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren. Also surviving are Brothers Norman (Juanita) Harsh and Phil (Faye) Harsh of Brookville. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Ann Nesbit. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 24, 2012 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Cook Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville Indiana. Funeral service is 11am Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at Whitcomb United Methodist Church. Officiating services are Rev. Ernie Troxell and Ronnie Wylie, Jr. Friends may call one hour prior to service. Burial will follow at Big Cedar Cemetery in Whitcomb, Indiana. Pallbearers include Andy Dorrel, Dustan Dorrel, Josh Nesbitt, Isaac Dorrel, Dallas Dorrel, Zachery Dorrel and Austin Cowen. Memorial contributions may be directed to Whitcomb United Methodist Church or Donor's Choice.
